How Amanda Kloots Is Celebrating Late Husband Nick Cordero

Amanda Kloots’ son Elvis is the spitting image of his late dad Nick Cordero.

In recent side-by-side photos shared to the former The Talk alum’s Instagram Stories April 17, the similarities between the 5-year-old and his father—who died in 2020 from complications caused by COVID-19—are uncanny.

And though the photos spoke for themselves, she added a simple, “I mean…”

Elvis was just 6 months old when Nick went to the ER with what was first diagnosed as pneumonia in March 2020. But as more complications arose, doctors discovered that the Broadway star’s illness was COVID.

Throughout the following months, Nick’s condition continued to deteriorate. And throughout his entire health battle, Amanda stayed by his side with an unwavering positive and hopeful outlook. But a little over three months after he was admitted to the hospital, her husband—whom she wed in 2017—tragically died on July 5 at 41 years old.

“God has another angel in heaven now,” Amanda, 43, wrote in a tribute post on Instagram, hours after Nick’s death. “My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.”

“I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere,” she continued. “My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday.”

Three years later, on the anniversary of her husband’s passing, the fitness guru urged friends and family to share “something they loved most about him” in a heartbreaking message about her grief.

While some expressed to her that, “He made you feel like you were the only person in the room,” others remembered the pureness of his heart and how being in his presence “inspired you to want to dig deeper to be a better person, friend and artist.”

But for Amanda, there was no end to the list of things she adored about her husband.

"Though he's not with us anymore I feel, and I know other people that knew him feel, that his spirit lives on in the biggest way," the 43-year-old wrote alongside a video montage of images of Nick. "He made such an impact on everyone he met, especially those he loved."

"I miss Nick more than anything in the entire world," she added. "What I loved most is how he made me feel safe in his arms, and always loved. That's a very special thing to give to someone. He was a special man with the biggest heart."
